1902年穆夏受到项目委托，装饰耶路撒冷一座献给圣母玛利亚的教堂 ,《百合圣母》作为教堂的一幅壁画创作出来，后因不明原因取消。《百合圣母》完成于1905年，原本画作对折只有显示出圣母，画作后于日本展出时被工作人员摊开，发现了画面左边还有一位女孩。且这位女孩与穆夏完成此画7年后出生的女儿Jarosl Ava长相几乎一模一样，也就是说穆夏在十几年前就画出了当时未出世女儿童年的样子。
